Air Cleaner: Removal: Removal

Unlock the retainers (2) and remove the fresh air inlet duct (3) from air cleaner housing (1).
Remove the support bracket bolt from the strut tower.
Remove the screws that hold the cover on the air cleaner housing.

CAUTION:
Do Not unplug the electrical connectors from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). A possible voltage spike can erase and damage the PCM.
Position the air cleaner housing cover aside.

Remove the air cleaner element (1).
If necessary, clean the inside of the air cleaner housing.
