Pan, Oil: Removal: Removal

Raise vehicle on hoist.
Remove oil drain plug (2) and drain the engine oil.
Remove accessory drive belt splash shield.

Remove lower A/C compressor mounting bolt (if equipped).
Remove A/C mounting bracket (2).

NOTE:
Do not use pry points in block to remove oil pan.
Remove oil pan retaining bolts.
Using a putty knife (1), loosen seal around oil pan (2).
Remove oil pan (2).
