Cable, Shift Interlock: Installation: Installation

Install the cable between the shifter and the steering column.
Install the shifter in place.

Install the shifter bolts (1) and tighten to 6 N.m (53 in. lbs.).
Clip the shift interlock cable to the shifter.

With the ignition switch in the ON position, push the interlock cable (2) into the column (1) until it clicks into place.
Install the lower shroud.
Adjust the shift interlock cable. Refer to ADJUSTMENTS .

Install the shifter housing (1).
