- Remove shift shaft using procedure in this Service Information.
- Thread Remover (special tool #6786, Remover, Bushing) (1) into bushing.
- Install slide hammer (special tool #C-3752, Slide Hammers) (3) onto tool and remove bushing (2) using slide hammer.
