When Monitored And Set Conditions

The location of the left side impact sensor B is in the B-pillar just past the first row seating. Impact sensors perform their own self test using power supplied by the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) then communicate this status back to the module. The repair of this fault centers on verifying the integrity of the sensor's internal circuitry and software validity. If the scan tool shows this DTC has a Stored history of setting then the left side impact sensor is to be replaced.

WHEN MONITORED 

With the ignition on, the Left Side Impact Sensor B is equipped with on board diagnostics to monitor to sensor's internal circuits. If a problem is identified, the sensor sends the Left Side Impact Sensor B Internal message to the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC).

SET CONDITION 

This DTC will set if the ORC receives an internal DTC from the Left Side Impact Sensor B.
