This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has also been released as a Rapid Response Transmittal (RRT) 16-051, date of issue June 14, 2016. All applicable Un-Sold RRT VINs have been loaded. To verify this RRT service action is applicable to the vehicle, use VIP or perform a VIN search in Dealer CONNECT/Service Library. All repairs are reimbursable within the provisions of warranty. This RRT will expire 18 months after the date of issue.

This bulletin involves replacing the long block due to a crankshaft imbalance condition.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to the following vehicles:

BU & FB vehicles equipped with a 2.4L I4 Multiair Engine (Sales Code ED6) built on or after December 05, 2015 (MDH 1205XX) and on or before January 31, 2016 (MDH 0131XX).
KL vehicles equipped with a 2.4L I4 Multiair Engine (Sales Code ED6) built on October 13, 2015 (MDH 1013XX).
PF vehicles equipped with a 2.4L I4 Multiair Engine (Sales Code ED6) built on or after January 14, 2016 (MDH 0114XX) and on or before January 15, 2016 (MDH 0115XX).
MK vehicles equipped with a 2.0L I4 DOHC 16V Dual VVT Engine (Sales Code ECN) built on or after September 17, 2015 (MDH 0917XX) and on or before September 25, 2015 (MDH 0925XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION

These vehicles may exhibit a vibration in the engine.

DIAGNOSIS

If a customer's VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. For all other customers that describe the symptom/condition listed, perform normal diagnostics.

Replace the long block assembly.
